Mike McGill is one of the great legends of skateboarding today. Best known for inventing the trick entitled the "McTwist", an inverted 540 degree mute grab aerial, McGill grew up in New York, then moved to Florida at the age of 10.  Venturing west in the mid-80s to join Bones Brigade, the Encinitas resident has owned and operated McGill's Skateshop since 1987.

This weekend, McGill will barge in on a session with his long time friends and teammates at the Clash at Clairemont, a cooperative effort between Pro Skateboarder Andy Macdonald, the YMCA, and Grind for Life.

In this episode of Talking Story, Cantore talks to McGill and the founder of Grind for Life, life-long skateboarder Mike Rogers, a two-time cancer survivor.  Grind for Life provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families when traveling long distances to doctors and hospitals.

With a star studded athlete roster, incredible musicians, food and fun for the whole family, we hope to see YEW this weekend at the Clash at Clairemont.
